Cat Travel Hydration

Cats are notoriously picky about drinking water, which can pose a challenge during travel. When planning a trip with your cat, keeping them hydrated should be one of your top concerns.

Start by ensuring your cat is comfortable with the travel water bottle or bowl you plan to use on the trip. Some cats may be hesitant to drink from new containers, so familiarize them with the setup before traveling. During the trip, offer water every 3-4 hours and monitor how much they are drinking.

If your cat is reluctant to drink, you can offer wet food to help increase their fluid intake. Cats typically get a good portion of their water from food, so incorporating wet food during the trip can help with hydration.

Pay attention to signs of dehydration like dry nose, lethargy, or refusal to eat. Keeping your cat calm and comfortable during the trip will encourage them to drink and stay hydrated.
