The Italian Greyhound is a breed that adapts exceptionally well to various living conditions, making them a popular choice for both apartment dwellers and those with larger homes. Due to their small size, typically weighing between 7 to 14 pounds, Italian Greyhounds do not require a large amount of space to be happy. They are well-suited to indoor living and thrive in a warm, cozy environment. However, they do need regular exercise to maintain their health and prevent boredom, so daily walks and play sessions are important, even in a small space. Their delicate, slender bodies are not well-equipped to handle cold weather, so it’s essential to provide them with appropriate protection, such as sweaters or blankets, during colder months.

A securely fenced yard is ideal for allowing them to run and play safely, but they should always be supervised due to their fragile nature and prey drive, which might lead them to chase small animals.
